“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5 (KJV)
Reflection
There is a small act, near the end of a morning devotion, that is easy to skip but that changes everything about the hours that follow: commit the day. Not vaguely, not in general — this day, this Tuesday, this appointment at eleven, this conversation with your daughter tonight, this bill you have been avoiding. Say each one to the Lord, plainly. Give Him the plans, but also the surprises He can already see and you cannot. This is the household walking out of the front door with its hand in Christ's hand. The day is no longer ours to fumble. It is His day to bring to pass. That is a very different kind of morning.
Prayer line
Lord, this day is yours. Bring it to pass. I will walk in it, hand in yours. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
