A SLOW LOG OF WHAT HAS CHANGED

Community Updates

Every substantive change to the Community — what has been built, what has been considered, and what has been set aside — logged plainly, in order.

  1. The Community, opened.

Today the household laid the first stone of the Community. Three pages went live: this Community home, the Guidelines that will govern every future room, and this Updates log that will hold the household accountable to what it has said and what it has done.

The design is inherited from the existing site — the same parchment palette, the same Cormorant and Inter typography, the same wax-seal restraint on colour. No visual identity has been changed. Nothing is loud.

Behind the visible pages sits a small, careful architecture prepared for the coming seasons: a data seam that will hold future member profiles, room descriptions, threaded replies, and quiet notifications. None of that is exposed as unfinished; when a room is ready to open, it will open on its own, complete, without the noise of "coming soon."

Scripture that shaped this day: Psalm 133:1 — Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

  2. Rule of life published.

The Community's rule — kindness spoken slowly, Scripture at the centre, respect across the historic traditions, privacy by design after Matthew 6, prayer before debate, plain-words AI discernment, human hand-moderation — is now the Guidelines page. Corrections and clarifications from any historic Christian tradition are welcomed and will be logged here.

Scripture that shaped this day: 1 John 4:7 — Beloved, let us love one another.

  3. The Prayer Wall recognised as the first Community surface.

The existing Prayer Requests Wall — moderated by hand since the site's earliest days — has been named as the Community's first living surface. It sits under the Guidelines' rule (pray first, comment second), and the discipline that has quietly governed it becomes public today.

Scripture that shaped this day: Romans 12:12 — Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.

  4. Five rooms considered for the seasons ahead — in order.

The household has considered which private rooms will open, and in what order. In the seasons ahead — carefully, one at a time — the Community expects to add:

    1. Scripture — slow reading of the KJV, one book at a time, together.
    2. Hymns — sung prayer, chosen for the week's Scripture.
    3. AI Discernment — plain-mechanism discussion of tools the household is testing.
    4. Family Life — marriage, children, tables, sabbath, small graces.
    5. Ordinary Time — the long stretches of the liturgical year, quietly kept.

Each will open only when it can be opened well. None is promised on a schedule.

Scripture that shaped this day: Ecclesiastes 3:1 — To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

How to read this log

Entries are written newest-first, dated in plain English. Each entry names the Scripture that shaped the change. When a Guideline is amended, the amendment appears here first, then in the Guidelines page itself, with the previous wording preserved for the record. Nothing on this log will ever be silently rewritten.

How the household hears from you

Correction, clarification, and quiet encouragement travel to the same place: the Connect page. Email is read by a human. Nothing is triaged by a bot. Response time is patient — usually days, sometimes a week during Great Lent or Advent. That is on purpose.

"But let all things be done decently and in order." 1 Corinthians 14:40

Peace be upon this log, and upon every brother and sister who reads it.
