The small scripture that would not leave

A short reflection from the CrossAIHub household. King James Bible.

“Be still, and know that I am God:” Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Some scriptures come to a household in a large moment — a wedding, a funeral, a diagnosis. Others come in the middle of a Tuesday and refuse to leave until the household understands.

Psalm 46:10 is such a verse. Four words that arrive on the morning when everything in us is trying to be busy. Be still. Not do nothing — be still. Not disengage — be present, but quietly. And then, from that stillness: know that I am God. Not remind yourself. Not reason yourself. Know. A settled thing, in the ground of the soul.

If the verse has come to your household this week, it has not come by accident. It is asking you for the small stillness that would let you know Him again.
